Glostrup's development from a village to a market town, and now a suburb, means that it features residential areas from various periods, each with its own identity.
This provides a great variety in the kinds of housing available.
Coming housing developments must match the current and future needs of the municipality's citizens; housing must be built which will attract new residents, and it is important that the new, attractive residential areas are created. Hvissinge Øst is an exciting example of one such development project.
The existing residential areas must also be renewed and maintained, to ensure Glostrup continues to be a good place to live.
